If you follow me on Instagram you’ll see some cheesy poses on my stories when I’m off exploring. I LOVE walking and trekking and I guess hiking but not in the professional sense at all (yet).

I love taking photographs and even did it as an A level in college.

I love music, especially live - and one day hope to be back in the industry again in some form.

I have always and only worked in Hospitality. I was a “chef” at a Students Union, I did a course too so not sure why I keep using air quotes. -Chefing is where the bandanas came from which has made my forehead a slightly paler shade than the rest of my face. I did that for 4 years before leaving to become a “festival chef”. Which was as fun as it sounds! I stopped that after badly burning myself and ended up at the place I always ended up - Moles. Which quickly became the love of my life.

I talk about Moles in my first blog post so won’t go on about it now as it is no longer my life and I am now making up for the adventures I missed out on. (I did love it though).

I can still enjoy a good night out if the occasion calls for it but much prefer a morning coffee, afternoon walk, reading a book, bingeing a good series and chilling with a cuppa. I’ve even started to enjoy running!

I am from a small seaside town in the UK and have the best friends and family around the world who support me on my journey. As often as I can on my trip I will be on facetime with them keeping up with their day to day.

I have no idea what I am going to do when I get back to the UK - which I find quite exciting. Though I shall be coming back to hike with my mum along the Camino Way!

Oh I also love Lord of the Rings…. but I think you knew that.

Kia Ora! I’m Anna Beck. I’m 32, and like Bilbo, I found myself in need of a holiday! I do plan on returning though, hopefully with a bit more of an idea about the me I want to be (hence the name of my page!)

So, if you knew me last year you would have known an Anna who put work before pretty much everything and liked to drink a lot of wine. Hopefully I was known for a little bit more than that but that’s how I saw it.

I’ve never been good about these ‘about me’ bits, how am I doing?

A little bit about me….
